Festivals For All!
Festivals shouldn't just be celebrated by an individual race alone. It should include everyone in the country and that means the whole population. We all live and share the same land so why should we only celebrate festivals by ourselves and exclude all the other race in the country? I can say that I am very lucky that I was born and raised in a country of diverse cultures and traditions. The Idea of celebrating the same festival together is genius as there is always the question of whether cultural practices should only be celebrated by the concerned race and ignored by the rest. But actually, there's a lot to look at and also to experience. Neglecting the diverse cultures and traditions are just a waste. This entry is going to tell you why we should all celebrate the same festivals together.
Every festival that we celebrate is filled with the spirit of goodwill and harmony. For example, when the Eid festivals come, we wish our friends and acquaintances who celebrate "Happy Eid Mubarak", including on social media such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We never miss that every year. Its an act of social homogeny. So why just limit ourselves to that when we can celebrate it together. Theres nothing wrong in doing that like what people say, the more the merrier.
National prosperity and the uniqueness of each race in the country enables us to enjoy the traditional spread of delicacies that numerous races tend to offer. These only come once in a while. So better off grab the opportunity before its too late. Every racial community usually hold open houses in their homes or those being organised by political parties, organisations and corporate companies all over the place. this is to none other than invite everyone no matter what race or religion to celebrate it together.
There is this thought when some festivals celebrate it at a spiritual level. Those other unconcerned races doesn't have to go to that extent. It's about the act of being together in a society. Being in public places where festivals are celebrated shows harmony in society. We shouldn't exclude ourselves or trap ourselves in our homes when these festivals come. Instead we should join in the fun. For example in Malaysia, located in the national capital, the celebration on the grounds of the famous tourist site, Batu Caves, celebrating Thaipusam for the Indian culture. We can see thousands of visitors from diverse racial backgrounds at the location. Little India is lively and decked with colourful decorations.
As a conclusion, we should all celebrate the same festivals. That includes everyone, people of different races, age group, community. These festivals come about with goodwill and harmony in mind, so we should embrace it. People coming from those who celebrate can continue it at a spiritual level and the other should experience the cultural diversity.
